There are records of text messages I couldn’t effectively review/redact, because with only a telephone number as the sender or recipient, I didn’t know name or context. I have converted them to .pdf and have them being reviewed by John Mitchell to propose redacts, if any. It *could be* (and my first review makes me think that this may be true) that few if any of the messages qualify as public records (they were messages that, if I had to guess, were between John and his spouse). But I can only wait until I know more.

Thank you for your speedy reply, and thanks so much for your help with the request!
There are no specific subject parameters we are able to provide other than what we have received on our site, as the sender has not clarified a specific subject or time range to be included. Therefore, we will interpret the request on the sender’s behalf, and we will add a note on our site to indicate that if they do wish to provide further clarification at some point, we will relay to Henderson County Gov. We also understand that there could be redactions required to any non-public items.
For the purpose of the current request, we’ll interpret the request to now say:

“Please provide all letters, emails and texts sent to/from Henderson County employee John Mitchell and Chad Roberson, architect for Clark Nexsen. This is not subject specific, and should include all communications and relevant information responsive to this request for the duration of the time that Mitchell, Roberson, and Nexsen have been or were employed with Henderson County.

As for emails: Subject parameters? (This is more for email than letters. But emails could require redaction if they are non-public. It is much easier if we can have the mail server search, for example, all incoming and outgoing emails between John Mitchell and Chad Roberson regard project ______. I presume Hendersonville High School from the subject matter of your request, but can’t know that.) If it is “all emails to/from Clark Nexsen with John Mitchell involving HHS”, that shouldn’t be difficult.
I’ve asked finance staff to begin pulling the financial requests: any time parameters?
