I would like to make a public records request. I would like an inventory of sanitary sewer pipes in use today. Please include the following characteristics:

1. total feet of system
2. feet by pipe material
3. feet by diameter

    We recently received the following request via our site, and the City of Asheville directed me to MSD for this information.

    Good afternoon,

    The City of Asheville does not maintain any sanitary sewer lines.  This request needs to be submitted to the Metropolitan Sewer District http://www.msdbc.org/contactus.php.

    I will double check with our Public Works Department just to make sure I’m not confusing sanitary sewer lines with storm drains and will be in touch if it turns out I am wrong.
