I would like to make a public records request for the annual amount allotted from NC Dept. of Revenue for Video Programming Distribution, and how the sales tax distribution on video programming, direct to home satellite and telecommunication services distributions to Buncombe from 2011 -2017 were spent.     Good morning,

    I have attached a spreadsheet showing the sales tax on video programming revenue received by Buncombe County for fiscal years 2011 through 2017.  The first distribution of revenue in FY18 will not occur until December 15, 2017.

    These funds may be used for general public purposes.  As such, they are deposited into the County’s operating fund as general revenues with the exception of the amount designated by the NC Department of Revenue as PEG Channel Supplemental Funding.  That amount ($27,586.20 in FY17) is used to support the County’s certified PEG channel.
