County Commissioners: Mission Hospital Sale
I would respectfully request County Commissioners explain comments about how much tax revenue Buncombe County will receive. This is a for profit agencies and yes more taxes for Buncombe County but at what cost to citizens? The extra revenue will come from the patients who are provided services by the hospital.
*Does the sale just automatically happen or does Buncombe County approve the sale?
* Do Commissioners vote whether to allow the sale?
*If the buyer is for profit agency and will pay county taxes what is extra cost for services
provided?
*Does buyer accept Medicare, Blue Cross and other insurance at cost they pay now?
*Buncombe County will get extra revenue at what cost to the citizens?

provided?All organizations with non-profit designation receive the same level of service as all other organizations. There is no cost to the County with the addition of a for-profit hospital.
*Does buyer accept Medicare, Blue Cross and other insurance at cost they pay now?
That should be addressed to Mission Health. Their FAQ website is http://missionhealthforward.org/
