** 03/22/19 Editor’s Note: On 03/13/19 Lee County’s Public Information Specialist let us know “Court records are maintained by the Lee County Clerk of Court, which is a separate constitutional office from the Lee Board of County Commissioners. You can find more about the Clerk’s office here: https://www.leeclerk.org/

After some research, Sunshine Request advises that since there might be fees associated with the request, the original requester should please submit this request directly to Lee County via Lee County Clerk of Court’s main website, if they wish to obtain the information. You may do this via the following link, and would also need to create an account to access their records portal:
https://www.leeclerk.org/services/public-records-request. If there are any fees associated with the request, this will be the way to find out and also to receive the information directly to your email.

Thank you for using Sunshine Request!

    Good Afternoon Lee County,

I work for a website called Sunshine Request www.sunshinerequest.com. We built a site that makes it easier to make public records requests by filling out a simple form, and the results of any requests are posted on our site. This allows citizens to learn more about our local government, while saving staff from having to fulfill duplicate requests. If you have any questions about the project, please let me know, and I’ll be happy to answer.

We received a request for information that may be available in your office. If there’s another party that we should be contacting about this request then please let us know.

Here are the details sent by the requester:

    Thank you for your help.
