LED Streetlights – Highlands

Hello Sunshine Request!

I would like to inquire about any feasibility studies, internal (town staff) communications, or cost/benefit analyses on the part of the Town of Highlands regarding the implementation and/or replacement of streetlights with LED lamps. Seeing as though our area is solely dependent upon coal-generated electricity, and improvement in energy conservation is hugely important!

I would like for the request to encompass the last five years, and for any email or memorandum communication to be in an easy-to-read format.

**Editor’s Note: We called Town of Highlands again on 1/17/2019, after our initial call on 1/2/2019, to follow up with Town Clerk Gibby Shaheen on this request. We left a voicemail and are waiting to hear back.

    Good Afternoon,

     

    Gibby is the Town Clerk and would be the one that would generally respond to your request. We do not have any information in regards to your customer’s request. We do not have any feasibility studies, internal (town staff) communications, or cost/benefit analyses regarding the implementation and/or replacement of streetlights with LED lamps.

     

    We have been purchasing some LED lighting as replacements are needed but there is nothing written out (no documents) describing anything in the request that has been made therefore we do not have anything to submit to you for this request from July 2018 or the past five years.

    We received a request for information that may be available in your office back in July of 2018. We have since been trying to get the request completed and have attempted contact with Town Clerk/Accounts Payable Technician, Gibby Shaheen multiple times. We called her office and spoke with her on January 2nd and let her know we’d be emailing her the request and have yet to hear back. If there’s another party that we should be contacting about this request then please let us know.
