Please reply promptly to the following public records request, which I’m making in accordance with NC Public Records Law. https://www.ncleg.net/enactedlegislation/statutes/html/bychapter/chapter_132.html
The type of basic salary data I’m requesting is simple to provide, is very commonly produced, and is widely considered a matter of public record as part of the public personnel file of employees. Many NC entities fulfill requests like this via email in 1 week, and in many cases 1 day. You’ve also fulfilled a request like this for me before.
Please provide a list of all current Brunswick Regional Water and Sewer H2GO employees and their salaries, as of the present day [on the date the query is performed]. Please include the following:
1) Employee first / last name
2) Date of hire
3) Position / title / department
4) Salary [including hourly wage, hourly rate, or salary -- whichever payment structure is applicable to the employee]
Ideally, I’d like to receive the responsive records in an Excel or other machine-readable format. If any / all of this info is already publicly available online, please provide a link to where it can be accessed.
** I’m simply requesting an electronic copy of an electronic record, if one exists. I’m NOT asking for the opportunity to come in person to "inspect", nor to obtain a printed copy of, this electronic record. I’m requesting explicitly that any responsive info be provided to me via the electronic medium / electronic format (in which the copy of this record already exists). Thanks for your reply.
Teresa Long, Bob Walker, and yourself, have all received or fulfilled this same salary data request for me in the past. In those instances I was not required to fill out a form in order for you to process my request. I do not see any current policies or forms on your website related to submitting “records requests”. (Please note the Search function in the header of your website doesn’t work at the moment).
NC Public Records Law does not require me to submit an address / name / phone # / or a purpose in order for you to process my request, and it is necessary for me to “resubmit” my request using the form you attached — particularly because it was already submitted directly to the custodian(s) of those records who are therefore obligated by Law to process my request. Additionally, all of the info your form seeks to collect has been provided to you and H2GO already via my original request / email. I included a name, email address, physical address, and details about my request.
That being said — I used a Mac computer to download the form you sent, but it’s virtually impossible to edit the form or insert text. Also, my request doesn’t fit into the form, and therefore I cannot provide it to you in that format.
This is a very simple request for salary data, and having been provided all necessary info required by Law, hopefully you will proceed to process the request as promptly as possible.
