(May 2024) Request for Clay County, NC Sheriff’s Office: Total calls received and dispatched by month. From 01/01/20 – 04/01/24.
Good afternoon Sheriff, Tabitha, Debbie, (or Records Officer / Custodian(s) of these records),
Please reply promptly to the following public records request, which I’m making in accordance with NC Public Records Law. https://www.ncleg.net/enactedlegislation/statutes/html/bychapter/chapter_132.html
Please provide the total number of calls received AND dispatched for the Clay County Sheriff's Office/911 Dispatch, during the time period of 01/01/2020 through 04/01/2024. Please also indicate the total number of calls received and dispatched by month to each entity (such as the Fire Dept, Police Dept, etc).
For Example:
January 2020. Total Calls: 100. Dispatched to Sheriff's Dept: 25. Dispatched to Fire Dept: 10
To be clear, I’m only requesting to know totals. Please DO NOT include any personally identifying information about callers, addresses, case #s, etc, if that type of data exists. It is not relevant to my request.
** I’m simply requesting an electronic copy of an electronic record, if one exists. I’m NOT asking for the opportunity to come in person to "inspect", nor to obtain a printed copy of, this electronic record. I’m requesting explicitly that any responsive info be provided to me via the electronic medium / electronic format (in which the copy of this record already exists). If you are unable to fulfill any or all parts of this request, please specifically cite where a reason for denial is justified under NC Public Records Law. **
