North River Road Shooting Range. Jackson County, NC
Good Afternoon Jackson County Gov.,
I'd like to make a request to know the following information:
How many law enforcement agencies are currently using this shooting range? And how many individuals? How much money has Jackson County, NC spent on clean up? When was the last inspection, and has anyone tested the Tuckaseegee River for leads?

Sorry for the delayed response, we really appreciate your assistance with the request! We’ve marked it as complete.
In regard to your question, we are Sunshine Request, which is a project run and built by PRC Applications in Asheville, NC.
Since all of the requests that come through our site are anonymous, we have no way of providing the name of the individual who has requested this information. Additionally, under NC Public Records Law, we are not required to include that information to make a public records request.

Our responses to each of the following questions are in red and bold:
How many law enforcement agencies are currently using this shooting range? and how many individuals?
Our range is open to any law enforcement agencies at the federal, state and local levels – as well as company and private police. All training must be requested, scheduled and approved by SCC.How much money has Jackson County, NC, spent on clean-up?
Jackson County has spent approximately $500,000 on the clean-up.When was the last inspection, and has anyone tested the Tuckasegee River for lead?
The last inspection I have record of was in 2018, and yes, ECS Carolinas LLP tested the river for lead and had the following finding: “Based on the results of the surface water sample results, ECS concludes that lead from the drainage feature is not impacting the surface water in the Tuckasegee River.”Tyler Norris Goode
