(November 2019) Request for Buncombe County, NC property tax income and size
Hello Buncombe County, NC Government,
I'd like to make a public records request for the following information:
1. I'd like to know how large (in square miles) is Buncombe County, and also what is the total income from property tax for Buncombe County for 2018?
2. Please provide the total properties that are taxed in Buncombe County, NC as of 11/30/19.

subject: RE: Records Request: (November 2019) Request for Buncombe County, NC property tax income and sizeHello Sunshine, the Census Bureau reports that Buncombe is 656 square miles. The total property tax collected for Buncombe County for fiscal year 2019, tax year 2018, can be found in the Tax Collector’s settlement report. That settlement report can be found in the consent agenda section of the Board packet for the first meeting in August 2019. It is attached here as well.
I am not quite sure what the second question is asking. I can provide the total parcel count as of 12/23/19 is 127,819, this is subject to change as parcels are added. The requestor may find more information or what they are actually looking for at our public access site at tax.buncombecounty.org.
