TN Police officer rosters from the past

I would like to request a Humboldt, TN City police officer personnel roster. From the years 1990-1998. With the list of full names. Also the Gibson Co. sheriff's department in Gibson Co. Tn. Complete personnel roster from the years 1990-1998.

**01/07/19 Editor’s Note: We initially sent this request to the Humboldt Police Department in September 2018. After several attempts to establish contact, we have not heard back to complete this request. We re-submitted the request again last month to Humboldt PD and Gibson County Government, attempting to obtain an email contact for Gibson County Sheriff’s Office, and also get a reply from Humboldt PD. We did not hear back from either entity and have also called both entities to secure the appropriate contact information.

Humboldt PD gave us the same email ([email protected]) that we’ve been sending the request to this point, and Gibson Co. Sheriff’s Office informed us via phone, that they only do record requests via fax w/ a $10 charge.

    Editor’s Note to Sender. 01/26/2023: We have now marked the request above as being “Denied” by the government entity.

     

    In reviewing many of the other requests on our site today, we realize we made a mistake by not finalizing this particular request on our site back in 2019.

     

    Since launching our website in 2017, we have made a lot of changes to our processes and policies for handling requests. After re-reviewing the request above, and all follow ups we sent to Humboldt PD, Gibson County, etc. — it’s clear that we did spend several months making every reasonable attempt to follow up. Therefore, we should now record the request as being “Denied” by their offices back then. We did not receive any further replies.

     

    We sincerely apologize for the long delay in finishing processing the request. If the sender would like to submit a new request, please do so via the homepage of our website.

    We have not received a response, so in attempts to get a response confirming receipt, we have continued to try to get in touch over the past few months by following up with HPD, emailing Gibson County Chamber, Gibson Co. Gov addresses that are available online. However, it is still unclear to us who fulfills these requests on both of your ends, and what are the appropriate email contacts for this request.

     

    Please review the request when you’re able, and let me know whether the request is being processed, as well as what are the appropriate email address that should be used for Humboldt PD, Humboldt Government, Gibson County Gov., and Gibson County Sheriff’s Department.

     

    Additionally, without an email reply, on 01/07/19 we called and spoke with someone at Gibson County Sheriff’s office who said that the Sheriff’s office only fulfills records requests via fax with a $10 charge? For our records, we’d like to request that Gibson Co. Gov, or Sheriff’s department could please provide or point us to a copy of their records request policy.

    This afternoon we called Humboldt PD again and were told that the email we’ve been sending the request to is the best and only email for public record requests. We also called Gibson County Sheriff’s Office where we were again told they only process record requests via fax.
