This morning, November 20, at 8:00 am I was driving to work and I noticed a Rockingham County Paramedic Truck with a girl riding in the front seat. This would either be a a ride-a-long or the paramedics daughter.
1)What is the Rockingham County policy regarding ride-a-longs?
2) this was on highway 87 right at Wentworth Elementary, who was this Paramedic?
3) Who was in the car with this Paramedic?
4) Was this a ride-a-Long?
5) Was this a family member?
6) What is the county’s policy regarding family members riding in first responders vehicles?

In response to the below public record request, please note the following:
Pursuant NCGS 132-1, public records and public information compiled by the agencies of NC government or its subdivisions are the property of the people. So, the County assists parties requesting public information and provides that information if a document/record exists and it is, in fact, a public record. In this case, items 2, 3, 4 & 5 are asking for responses to questions and not requesting any records. NCGS 132-1(a) defines public record as “all documents, papers, letters, maps…” In order to better assist with this request, however, please note there are no existing documents/records relating to items 2, 3, 4, & 5.
Regarding item 1, please find attached the ride-a-long policy. Regarding item 6, there is no written policy.
