As was originally written, this was not an actionable public records request we can send to a government entity, and it is unclear what information the sender would like to receive. The message also included extraneous statements that are not relevant to submitting a records request, and did not meet our standards for a request.
If the sender would like to revise and resubmit, please do so through the form on the homepage of our site. Please clearly specify what info. is being requested and to what entity the request should be sent.
– Requests to our site should be for a specific type of info., subject, date range, any specific names, and entity (City / State / County).
– Please specify exactly what info you’d like to receive, rather than any “possible” or “potential” info. or entities that could be searched. This will often cut down the amount of time needed to process the requests.
– Please omit any extraneous statements that are not specific to the exact info. you’d like to receive.
– Please be as specific as possible in your Message by indicating the exact names, subject matter / keywords, and timelines relevant to the info. you’d like to receive. For example:
“Hello City of Asheville, NC. I would like to request all emails sent between City Councilpersons Bert and Ernie from 04/26/19 – 04/30/19 related to Airbnbs on Sesame Street. Thank you for your help!”
Or,
“Hello City of Asheville, NC. I would like to request all emails and text messages sent between all City Councilpersons and NCDOT from 04/26/19 – 04/30/19 related to traffic complaints on Sesame Street. Thank you for your help!”
