As it is written, it is unclear exactly what info. or “reports” are being requested, or what timeline should be responsive to the requested information.
We will assume though that what the sender has intended by requesting “All reports from the Sherrif or Asheville Police”, is meant as “All incident reports, and any other ‘reports’ (by the Sheriff’s Department and Asheville PD), where [Redacted] was the focus of the investigation.”
** Please Note: Sunshine Request does not fulfill requests for things like police reports, calls for service, or criminal / arrest type records for a single individual, incident, or address.
Due to the personal nature of the above requested information, we recommend that the sender reach out directly to the appropriate entities for assistance with the request.
Additionally, Re: “Sherrif or Asheville Police” – It is unclear whether the sender intends that two requests should be made: one to the Sheriff’s Department and one to the City of Asheville. This is not an actionable request we can send to a government entity. Requests to our site should be for a specific type of info., subject, date range, any specific names, and entities (City / State / County, to which the request should be addressed).

Or, “Hello City of Asheville, NC. I would like to request all emails sent between all City Councilpersons and NCDOT from 04/26/19 – 04/30/19 related to traffic complaints on Sesame Street. Thank you for your help!”
