(September 2020) Request for Sylva, NC Police Department communications / funds related to “protests and statue protection” as of 09/01/20

Hello Town of Sylva, NC Government [and Police Department],

I'd like to make a public records request for the following information:

1) Please provide any and all correspondence, including but not limited to emails, both internally and with the public regarding the July 11, 2020 protest. The responsive records requested should include the time period of May 25, 2020 - September 01, 2020.

2) Please provide any and all correspondence and materials [unspecified] regarding use of outside resources in preparation for and during the July 11, 2020 protest. The responsive records requested should include the time period of May 25, 2020 - September 01, 2020.

3) Please provide the amount of funds spent by Sylva, NC Police Department from May 25, 2020 to present date (that the query is performed), as well as the amount of funds allocated for the future to provide protection for the confederate statue and/or provide security measures at or around the statue. The responsive records requested should include the time period of May 25, 2020 - Present (day the query is performed).
