“I believe these two requests are from the same person. The documents I previously provided were based on a clarification that I asked for and you all posted. The “PIO email” request was sent in late April. I asked for a more narrow scope. Within days, I received, through your website, a request with more specific details on what the requestor wanted, titled “Tony Baldwin Emails”.
Please accept the documents I’ve already sent you and make a note on “PIO Emails” that if those documents are not what this person is looking for, they should contact me directly with a more narrow scope. I am happy to work directly with this person to provide the documents they are looking for. But again, I believe the same person made both of these requests, and I have given you all the documents responsive to that request”.
We did previously note on our site what you said about narrowing the request, and added an Editor’s Note encouraging the sender to resubmit through our site with additional clarification, if they wished to do so, but that the original request would be processed as is.
In the interest of getting this request closed now, we’re going to go ahead and mark this as “Completed” on our site. However, we’d like to reiterate the following to BCS and to users of our site for future reference on any requests we submit:
Once a request is submitted to www.sunshinrequest.com, our team will process the request per our policies and the request will not be “Cancelled.” We ask that users do not submit a request if they do not want the request to be processed and the results published on our site.

We apologize if our follow up email has been unclear.
The above request we’re referencing (Buncombe County Schools – PIO emails 2019), was for “all of Stacia Harris’ emails since January 1, 2019 to the current day the report is ran.”
The sender did not indicate a specific subject matter or keyword was being requested. Rather, it was a request for all emails during a specified time period.
——–The Completed request you’ve referenced (Tony Baldwin emails (Buncombe County Schools), was for “emails between Tony Baldwin, Stacia Harris, the attorney, and the Buncombe County School Board concerning two separate issues between January 1, 2019 and today. The first is specifically related to Bill Murdock and his position on the A-B Tech Trustees and removing his name from the school library. The second is related to filling the vacancy on the A-B Tech Trustees.”
In that case the sender indicated that two specific topics were being requested, during a specified time period (which at that time was through May 2019). This request has been Completed.
——–You’ve said that the PIO emails request is Complete. However, it is unclear to us how the results of the subject specific Tony Baldwin request also satisfy a separate request for “all of Stacia’s Harris’ emails” (which is non-subject specific). Unless, what you’re saying is that the only emails Stacia Harris sent from 01/01/19 – present just happens to also be related to Bill Murdock and A-B Tech Trustees.
If that’s the case, please let us know and we can mark this request as “Complete”.

We did note on our site previously what you said about narrowing the request, and added an Editor’s Note encouraging the sender to resubmit through our site with additional clarification, if they wished to do so, but that the original request would be processed as is. No such additional clarification was ever received on our site.
All requests submitted through our site are done so anonymously. We’re unable to provide additional info about a request or a sender, other than to post on our site any updates we receive about a request and its fulfillment.
